week in the life of a first year dietetic student
Hey guys! I thought I’d do a week in the life post, so you can
see what the timetable is like for a first-year dietetic student. I was told
that it was very busy and ‘pretty much 9-5 most days’ so when I got to uni, I was
quite surprised as to what it was actually like. I hope you find this useful!
Monday: Introduction to Dietetics lecture 2 – 4 pm
Tuesday: Biochemistry practical 2 – 6 pm
Wednesday: Genes and Cells lecture 9 – 11 am
Thursday: Introduction to Health Behaviours lecture 9 – 1 pm
and Global Food Security lecture 2 – 4 pm.
Friday: Introduction
to Nutrition lecture 9 – 11 am.
And that’s it for the week!
Obviously, this varies week to week and is different for
every university, but it does give an idea as to what to expect. Also, there is
other things to do outside of lectures, like coursework, tutorials, and
revision so lectures aren’t the only time you’ll spend doing work.
Bye for now! 👋
